Justin has been an animal lover and devoted dog owner since he was a child, and it’s a passion he shares with his whole family. “I have fond memories as a young kid visiting local animal shelters on Saturday’s with my family. Throughout the years, we have rescued many animals from these organizations, supporting whole-heartedly the many benefits of adoption versus going direct to a breeder. The James Banks Foundation provides me an opportunity to build on the commitment of improving the lives of animals on a much larger scale.”
As part of the James Banks Foundation, Justin is very involved with our grant program, including qualifying organizations that apply and keeping records of applicants. He is also responsible for preparing financial statements for the board, a skill he’s curated over more than a decade of experience as an investment advisor. In 2017 Justin co-founded Lake Street Financial, an independent wealth management firm headquartered in Chicago, IL that serves private clients and institutions, such as the James Banks Foundation. Previously Justin worked as a Vice President at Merrill Lynch, and he started his career at KPMG.
Justin is the proud owner of a Shiba Inu / Terrier rescue named Meeka.
